Curry re-enters for Warriors despite strained right calf

OAKLAND — Stephen Curry went back to the locker room briefly in the second quarter of the Warriors’ game against the Cleveland Cavaliers for treatment on a strained right calf, which was kneed two days earlier.

Curry was re-taped and re-entered the game, but not until 5:28 remained in the second quarter. He played 17 minutes of the first half, scoring 10 points on 2 for 7 shooting. The Warriors led 45-42 at halftime.

Curry said Thursday the calf was “a little bruised” after Utah guard Rodney Hood kneed him in the third quarter of the Warriors’ win. Curry came back to play his usual fourth quarter minutes in that game.
